The night got off to a slow start for the Eagles with Pee Dee scoring 13 points in the first quarter. In the second quarter the Eagles were still scoreless and Pee Dee was up by 24 points.
The Eagles came out stronger in the third quarter and held Pee Dee to only one touchdown.
In the fourth quarter quarterback Austin Knox scored the only Eagle touchdown of the night as the Eagles fell 39-6.
Coley Rowe was the leading rusher for the night with 67 yards. Leading the way in tackles was Dillon Cail with 12 tackles on the night.
“The young, inexperienced Eagles played hard and showed improvement from last week’s jamboree,” Eagles head coach Kenny Atkerson said. “Pee Dee has an experienced team this year and a very balanced offensive. They have one of the best backs in SCISA in their tailback, a 6’0” 200 lb. senior. “Their quarterback throws well and has good receivers. “We had some bright spots and we will continue to work on improving. Overall the coaches are pleased with the team’s attitude and work ethic.”
The RWA Eagles are looking forward to hosting Robert E. Lee tonight at 7:30 p.m.
