ELGIN – David Travis Scott, 43, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.
He leaves behind his loving family of Maureen Caine, Michael Caine and Lauren Caine; mother, Shirley Scott; brother, General Steven Scott; and many friends and family. He was predeceased by his father, Col. William Scott.
David graduated from Richard Winn Academy in Winnsboro and attended Midlands Technical College. A mechanic by trade, he was the service manager for Master Tire in Winnsboro and Blythewood until he started his own business, Superior Pressure Washing for the last nine years.
David’s greatest love and accomplishments came from stock car racing at local dirt tracks, winning hundreds of races and three championships with MACD Racing Partners / Team 65.
