WINNSBORO — The Richard Winn Eagles soared to a 10-8 victory Friday over Cardinal Newman in eight innings. Senior Sidney Edenfield was the winning pitcher for RWA.

Leading hitters were Austin Knox who went 2-5 with a homerun, Cameron Cooper who went 2-4, and Matt Taylor and Elijah Tucker, who both also went 2-4. The Eagles remain unbeaten in this young season with the extra-inning win.

The Eagles next play Heathwood Hall on the road at 7 p.m. Tuesday. They come back to the friendly confines of home for a rematch with Fairfield Central High on Thursday at 6 p.m.
