SUMTER — Two out of three ain’t bad, as the saying goes. Two of the three North-South All Stars from Richard Winn Academy suited up and played in the March 2 all-star game.
The North squad was without RWA guard Carson Justice who missed the game with a sprained ankle. Jaycie Johnson and Jessie Stidham played big roles in the North victory. Johnson had over five blocked shots in the contest. Both she and Stidham scored in the game as well.
“They contributed well and did a great job to win the game. I am proud of our girls and how they overcame adversity of not having Carson in the lineup,” RWA head coach Jason Haltiwanger said.
Haltiwanger attended that game as a spectator. He coaches in the SCISA South Carolina versus Georgia game this weekend.
