Letter to the Editor:
I would like to have someone answer a few questions. Why are the United States Senate and Congress always looking to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid to make up the deficit in other areas? We have Federal employees that are making unbelievable salaries (obscene Salaries). The 2000 top managers of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are making salaries over 200k a year this is just one example of wasteful spending. These salaries are ridiculous, and should be an area that cuts is made. Those who live on a fixed income or those who are not able to provide a living for themselves should not be bunting the blows for the ignorance of those in the office. If all Federal employees were made to work until the age of 65 and draw Social Security as their retirement this issue would not be brought up for a vote ever again. The money that was put away for this purpose, had the government kept their sticky fingers out of it, going broke would not be an issue.
