KERSHAW COUNTY — A Ridgeway man was killed Sunday night in a single vehicle accident in Kershaw County.
According to Lt. Judd Jones with the S.C. Highway Patrol, it was a single vehicle wreck. The driver’s 2002 Chevy passed another vehicle and at that time the driver lost control of the vehicle and ran off the roadway.
The vehicle hit a ditch and flipped, ejecting the driver, who was not wearing a safety belt. The driver was declared dead at the scene.
The Kershaw County Coroner’s Office had not identified the victim as of press time Monday. The incident remains under investigation.
