RIDGEWAY — Lang-Mekra employees in Ridgeway took time from the production floor to show their support for National Wear Red Day on Feb. 1. Not only did the company employees wear red, they also took home information at Heart disease, which is the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year.

Trudy Debien, office manager at the company, provided recipes and handouts on a table near the employee break area that showed warning signs, and other facts about Heart Disease. Events such as this are just part of what the company does to support their employees and the community.

Lang-Mekra North America company profiles states, “It is a policy to become and remain involved with both the immediate community and national charities. In this way, the company philosophy of reinvestment applies not only to technology, but also to the people we employ and the markets we serve. On a corporate level, Lang-Mekra North America backs causes as diverse as the United Way, Juvenile Diabetes and the March of Dimes.”
