WINNSBORO — Rotary Club President Jim Mullen held his quarterly Club Assembly during which time he gave an update on the financial status of the club, announced fund raising schedules, highlighted upcoming events and gave an overall view of the health of the club. He reported that all is well with the Club.

As an added treat, Mullen invited his friend and former Boy Scout Troop leader Jimmy Joyner to share some of his experiences while serving in Afghanistan as a trainer for the Afghanistan police force. Joyner gave an interesting PowerPoint presentation about his daily life in that country. He said that Afghanistan has not changed much in a thousand years. Joyner was home on leave but was leaving soon to go back to Afghanistan.
