INDIAN LAND — Funeral services for Talmadge Thomas Boulware Jr., age 81, will be held at 3 p.m. on Nov. 11, 2012 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 6688 State Hwy 269, Winnsboro and conducted by Rev. Tony Adams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday evening at Pope Funeral Home in Winnsboro .

Boulware died at his home on Nov. 9, 2012. He was the husband of Martha Wiles Boulware and the son of the late Talmadge Thomas and Johnnie Timms Boulware Sr. He was born in Fairfield County on March 1, 1931. Mr. Boulware graduated from Mt. Zion Institute and served in the US Air force. He later graduated from SC Area Trade School in West Columbia as a certified electronics technician. He worked as a radio and TV technician for Appliance and TV Center in Columbia, Southern Radio Corporation in Columbia and various other television shops and Cooper D. Cass Co. in Columbia.

His passion was flying and he obtained his private pilot’s license. He was a member of Indian Land Masonic Lodge #414, Indian Land Chapter #286, Order of the Eastern Star and Waxhaw Chapter #318, Order of the Eastern Star, and the American Legion. He served as Royal Patron of Queen Charlotte #2, Order of the Amaranth in Charlotte, N.C. He loved going to the mountains and camping. His passion was his family. He will be missed.

In addition to Martha, his wife of 55 years, he is survived by a son, Talmadge Thomas Boulware III of Gaston; a daughter, Sarah B. Smith of West Columbia; a brother, Sam Boulware and his wife Wyllene of Jenkinsville; a sister, Lily Rae Jeffcoat and her husband Bernie of Titusville, Fla.; two grandchildren, Traci Smith, Abby Jean S. Heape and her husband Dwayne; and two great grandchildren, Madison Heape and Annabelle Heape.

Mr. Boulware was predeceased by a son, Kirby Crosby Boulware; and two brothers, Marion L. Boulware and Crosby Young Boulware.

The family wishes to thank Medi-Home Hospice of Rock hill and Home Health of Lancaster for their tender care.
