The Lady Griffins dropped two matches this week, losing to Columbia High School on Tuesday and to A.C. Flora on Wednesday. The Columbia High Capitals outscored the Lady Griffins 25-17 in the first game. The other two games had similar scores with the Lady Griffins coming up short 16-25 and 15-25 respectively.
The contest Wednesday against A.C. Flora featured closer games. The Lady Griffins drooped the first game by only three points, losing 22-25. Flora pulled away more in the second game, prevailing 25-15. In the third, and final game, the Lady Griffins put up a valiant effort but lost 20-25 to the Falcons.
At press time FCHS had a match going on with Eau Claire on Oct. 4.
Coach Carolyn Conley was hoping for a win in that road contest which comes on the heels of back-to-back home losses for the Griffins..
