JENKINSVILLE — Fair food, family and faith congregated at Little River Baptist Church for its family night on Sept. 21. According to Pastor James Clonts, around 60 people attended.

He said people came from as far away as Chapin and as nearby as Winnsboro to share in food and fellowship.

The participants played fair style carnival games such as ring toss, corn hole and water basketball.

There also was an inflatable bounce house that children enjoyed.

The event included a variety of fair food, including elephant ears.

“We are not trying to increase the size of our congregation, our goal is to increase the praise of our God. Our events from the Five Loaves Food Pantry, to the family nights to our revival are all about coming together as a community to increase our praise and knowledge of God,” said Little River Baptist Pastor James Clonts. “If more people start going to other churches and not ours, then the work of our leaders has been a success.”
The day after the event, Little River Baptist volunteers packed up food boxes again at their local food pantry.
They encourage community members to come share their upcoming fall revival and homecoming service Oct. 28 and their revival Oct. 29-31.
