On Saturday morning many may have noticed the large line in the parking lot of Advance Auto Parts, it was not because of their low prices or free services like battery test.

The line along with the Fairfield County School District bus and Fairfield County Sheriff Department car was all part of Advance Auto Parts first back to school bash.

At the start of the bash there was a line of at least 50 students of all ages lined up to receive school supplies.

Advance Auto supplied paper, pencils, rulers, notebook, erasers, glue, and crayon all purchased from local retailers.

Parents and students arrived by car and foot to take part in this event many excited for the support from the company. Advance Auto Parts has been in the Winnsboro area for 19 years providing service.

The company as a hold also contributes to the Ronald McDonald House, and is the number one contributors to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

On a local level, this location allows church groups, organizations, and clubs to use the parking lot area to host fund raising events.

District manager Jose Figueroa said that a total of 600 bags of school supplies were given out during the event.
