Jessica Lynne Tankersley of Ridgeway, S.C., and Russell Miller Brown of Winnsboro, S.C., were married May 5, 2012, at Sion Presbyterian Church in Winnsboro, S.C. The 4 p.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. John Rogers of Montreat, N.C. A reception immediately followed at Mt. Hope Plantation in Ridgeway, S.C.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Tankersley of Ridgeway, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Joe Areheart, the late Mrs. Betty Jean Areheart and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Tankersley, all of Columbia, S.C. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Brown of Winnsboro, S.C. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Boyd Brown and the late Mr. and Mrs. Billy Meng. He is a graduate of Clemson University and is the owner of Brown Homes and Land in Ridgeway, S.C.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Melissa McLendon, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Meredith Pope, Ms. Ashley Sharpe, Ms. Leslie Stenson and Mrs. Lindsey Corn. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Kaylee McLendon, niece of the bride. Flower girl was Miss Cameron McLendon, niece of the bride.
Best man was David Brown, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Mr. Joe Brown and Mr. Boyd Brown, brothers of the groom; Mr. Caleb Robinson, Mr. Martin Timms, Mr. Willy Pope Jr., Mr. Tanner Pope, Mr. Dave Schambach and Mr. Jonathan Goode. Ushers were Mr. Scott McLendon, Mr. Wes Long and Mr. Jae Mattox III. Ring bearer was Master Hayes Martin.
The couple will honeymoon in the Dominican Republic.
