The public is invited join the members of The Inquirendo Book Club for the 2012 Open Meeting on April 30 at 4 p.m. for an interesting discussion of a few of Fairfield County’s treasures. The meeting will be held at First United Methodist Church, 109 West College St. in Winnsboro.
The speaker will be James Maynard. Maynard has a BA in Architecture from the University of N.C. and has won awards for his historic preservation work from the Charlotte Historic District Commission and S.C. Department of Archives and History. He has researched the history of the Winnsboro Cotton Mill and Mt. Zion Institute whose original drawings will be available for view. The plans for Fortune Springs Park by noted Landscape Architect Robert Marvin will be an added attraction.
