NEWBERRY — The Restoration Outreach Recreation League All-Star team took on Fairfield Saturday morning for the league championship at Smith Road Complex on the campus of Newberry College.Early in the first inning Restoration Outreach was able to touch Fairfield starter Stanley “Monk” McManus for a run but Fairfield responded in the bottom of the frame with a two spot to give McManus a lead he would not relinquish as the Fairfield club won 5-1.McManus struck out nine and walked one. His team played stellar defense behind him, making no errors en route to victory.
