The following students from Fairfield Magnet School for Math and Science are Region 3 winners for the 2012 Picasso Project: Mercedez Carpenter, First Place (pictured); Alexis Broome, Second Place.
The Picasso Project is a student art competition designed to recognize excellence in the artistic talents of South Carolina students, while raising funds to support the mission of The Children’s Trust of South Carolina. All proceeds from a silent auction of student artwork will be donated to Safe Kids Cribs for Kids. An awards luncheon will be held on Saturday, April 21, at the Columbia Marriott. The luncheon will recognize all regional winners, their teachers and parents, and will unveil the state winners of the Picasso Project.
