Steve Manning of the Community Fire Department was named Fairfield County 2011 Firefighter of the Year at the Volunteer/Emergency Service Appreciation Dinner given by the County Council to the Volunteer Fire Service and Rescue Squad on April 16 at the Recreation Center.
