The downtown summer movie series was a big success.

More than 40 people showed up to help kick off the series which started with the showing of “Dolphin Tale”.

The county parking lot was lined with lawn chairs and people of all ages ready to take part in this addition to the Third Thursday event that was sponsored by the the Town of Winnsboro and the Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce.

Chatter in the air around the parking lot was of how it felt like at drive-in movies.

The next movie will be “ET, Extra Trerrestrial” on July 19.

Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, family, and friends and make your way to downtown Winnsboro for the show.
