Two students from Fairfield Magnet School for Math and Science are competing in the PALMETTO PRIDE Trash Treasure Contest. The winners will be announced in April.
“Beach Bot,” by Hannah Joyner, age 12.
Robot made from aluminum pop tops, water bottle top, old fabric scraps, soap box, glue lid, nuts and bolts, wire, baby wipes container and beads.
“Stuck in the Seaweed,” by Aeriel Truesdale, age 12.
Old Newspaper, cardboard, aluminum can, ship wrapper, old sequins (papier mache’ and paint).
