There are lots of people in the region. Many of them are children, a large percentage of whom are between the ages of birth to 12 years old. All of them are cute.
Don’t believe it? Just visit our website at www.newberryobserver.com and click on the link to our Cutest Kids Contest and you’ll see what we mean. Already there are over 200 of the most precious faces, mischievous smiles and bright eyes staring back at you from those who’ve been registered, all hoping to claim the prize of The Newberry Observer’s Cutest Kid.
Not every cutie, however, has been entered yet in the newspaper’s Cutest Kids Contest. We know they’re out there. We’ve seen then and we know just how cute they are. It’s not too late to get them registered and in the running.
Provided with the support of title sponsor Partyz Unlimited and age bracket (2-4) sponsor Shear Genisus, the contest is open to every child who has an adult within a finger’s touch of our website. All one has to do is have an email address and a picture of the youngster they happen to believe is the cutest kid they’ve ever laid eyes on. The rest is simple. Register, talk it up, post it on Facebook, call your friends and get them all prepared to cast their ballots.
Voting is exactly a week away (it actually begins at midnight on June 1), so there’s still time to get those little darlin’s registered, giving them full access to every single vote they can garner. And there’s plenty of time to rally the votes.
Unlike any other contest we’ve every offered before (even more so than the very popular Pet Contest from a few months back), the Cutest Kids Contest gives children a chance to shine. Their faces are on our website where, with just a click of the mouse, you can scan through some of the most adorable pictures you’ll ever hope to see. It simply makes you smile to see their young faces, the bright-eyed wonder and the sheer innocence they exhibit.
You can find many of them in the newspaper, too, smiling back at your from front page teasers or somewhere inside, prompting others to join them in the contest.
It’s a fun way to get the community involved and promote our youngsters at the same time. We hope readers and web visitors think so too. And we hope they participate, either by registering a child or, come next week, voting for the dozens upon dozens hoping to claim the title and the grand prize.
It’s free; it’s simple and, again, it’s good, wholesome, fun competition that will, in the end, proclaim one of those precious children with the title of the very cutest.
So what are you waiting for? If you have a cutie living in your home, or know an adorable youngster, get the appropriate permission, fill out the short submission form and enter them in the contest.
Who knows, the child you enter just might be the cutest kid.
