Lake Wateree resident and Geiger Elementary School substitute teacher Sascha Instone put some time in on the mural she has been paining inside Ridgeway’s Java Nook Books/Whistle Stop Cafe on Dogwood Avenue.
“I studied art in college, but his is my first mural,” Instone said from her scaffold perch on Wednesday. “But I have three more murals lined up now that people have come in and seen this.”
So far, Instone has painted the world’s smallest police station, Old Town Hall, the water tower, Java Nook Books and the now demolished Ridgeway High School. She is getting ready to paint the Century House.
