On March 7, the seventh- and eighth-graders of Richard Winn Academy were treated to a step back in time to the Civil War. Adrian Wilkes, a Richard Winn alumnus and graduate of The Citadel, presented some insight into Winnsboro’s role during the Civil War. The students were amazed to find out many facts about their hometown. Adrian did a slide presentation which included sites from Winnsboro and Charleston. The students were truly surprised when Adrian appeared dressed in full Civil War attire. The seventh- and eighth-graders would like to “THANK” Adrian for speaking to them.
