A 24-year-old was killed in a wreck near Ridgeway Saturday evening.
The man was the driver of a Ford pick-up that ran off the right side of Durham Place Road, hit a tree and overturned, according to S.C. Highway Patrol spokesperson Billy Elder.
The wreck occurred at 7:35 p.m. on Durham Place Road just over seven miles from Ridgeway.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
Two passengers in the truck, Joshua Robinson, 22, of Blythewood, and Dana Merritt, 25, also of Blythewood, were both injured in the one-vehicle crash. The two were taken by ambulance to Palmetto Richland Hospital in Columbia.
The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
None of the men in the wreck were wearing a seatbelt, according to Elder.
