Helen “Nicole” Collins of Ridgeway, S.C., and John “Croom” Colvin Hunter of Columbia, S.C. were married March 10, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Ridgeway, S.C. The 5 p.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. Erik Estep. A reception immediately followed at The Old Armory of Winnsboro, S.C.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brett Allen Collins of Ridgeway, S.C., and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Winston Nichols of Ridgeway, S.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Coy Collins of Winnsboro, S.C. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and is employed by Richland 2 as a first-grade teacher.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Parkin Croom Hunter of Columbia, S.C., and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerald DeWitt Colvin Sr. of Jasper, Ala. and the late Dr. and Mrs. John Franklin Croom Hunter of Florence, S.C. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and is currently in his second year at the Charleston School of Law.

Maid of honor was Courtney Collins, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sara Hunter, sister of the groom; Melissa Alexander, Kim Corwin, Rebecca Harwood, Hayley Mattox and Nikki Robinson. Honorary bridesmaids were Lacy Harsey, Kim Hunt, Dr. Shivani Patel and Jenni Sharpe. Flower girls were Addison Collins, daughter of the bride; Sarah Gray Combs and Evelyn Wright. Program attendants were Davis Wright and Mary Anne Combs.

Best man was Parkin Hunter, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Boyd Brown, Parker Burnett, Matt Conrad, Scott Gupton, Clay Lovelace and Jon Mahaffey. Ushers were John Bruton, Sel Lipscomb and DuBose Williamson. Ring bearer was Dylan Wood.

The couple will reside in Ridgeway, S.C., following the ceremony. They will honeymoon in Europe during the summer of 2012.
