WINNSBORO — The Eagles of Richard Winn Academy had 63 reasons to smile Friday night.
They defeated the Paladins of Ridge Christian Academy63-42 to earn their first win of the season.
The Eagles led throughout the game, amassing a convincing 27-0 first quarter lead.
With a mixture of passing and running plays, they racked up a 56-20 lead at the half.
The Paladins mounted a second half comeback, but the early deficit proved too great for them to overcome.
The Eagles hope to build upon the momentum from this win next Friday night when they return to the friendly confines of Richard Winn Academy to play their homecoming game.
