FAIRFIELD COUNTY — The S.C. Department of Social Services of Fairfield County donated non-perishable food items to The Community Food Bank and Saint Luke Baptist Church Food Bank.
The staff members of DSS collected the food items and took part in the contributing on Dec. 5, with representatives from both food banks in attendance.
County Director James Nichols spearheaded the collection of the items that were donated to the food banks.
“The event was a huge success and we hope that both food banks will be able to use the items that we have contributed,” said Rosetta Jeter of DSS.
