FAIRFIELD COUNTY — The South Carolina Department of Public Safety reported an accident Friday morning at mile marker 32 on I-77 northbound.
In the single vehicle accident, a 1974 Chevrolet SUV lost control and entered the median.
The vehicle rolled over and both the driver and the passenger were ejected from the vehicle.
The driver and passenger were killed in the accident, a 72-year-old male from Rock Hill and a 65-year-old female from York County.
Neither victim was wearing a seat belt in the 11:20 accident.
The accident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
