WINNSBORO — Brenda Lee Johnson, affectionately known as “BJ” was the daughter of the late Otis Thomas Johnson Sr. and Frankie Mae Johnson. She was born December 2, 1963, in Fairfield County, and entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 18, 2013.
Brenda attended the public schools of Fairfield County. She graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1982. Brenda enjoyed her longtime career in the Home Health Care field.
Brenda leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Maurice Johnson and Katrina Johnson of Winnsboro and Latrina Johnson of Columbia; brothers John (Monica) Yarborough of Irmo, Otis (Lisa) Johnson Jr. of Winnsboro, Terry Johnson of Connecticut, and Moses (Michelle) Johnson of Salley; sisters Alisa (Matthew) Rice, Kristie (Bryant) Robertson, and Shamieka (Michael) Sims all of Winnsboro; a special friend, Sammie Bell Jr., dear friends Lena Mae Ashford, Laura Young, and Gwendolyn Holmes; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends who will all miss her dearly.
Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Otis Johnson Sr., three brothers: Randy Trapp, Odell Johnson and Vincent Johnson; and two sisters, Linda and Thamieka Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Speak to my Heart Ministries in Winnsboro. Gibson Funeral Home located at 325 S Garden St. in Winnsboro is handling the arrangements.
