The following incidents were reported by the Winnsboro Public Safety Department:

• A victim at Fairview Road reported on that an unknown person stole a straight shaft red grass trimmer valued at $125 on July 16.

• On July 17, officers responded to a larceny call at Speedee Wok when a customer ordered a meal and left without paying.

• Public Safety received a complaint on July 18 regarding vandalism at the school maintenance building on Fairfield Road. Officers took pictures of the damage and will conduct additional checks on the property.

• Two offenders were arrested and transported to the Fairfield County Detention Center on July 18 after officers were questioning a victim about malicious damage to his vehicle at the Citgo on Bypass 321.

• A victim told Public Safety his co-worker at a Evans Street site stole a Dewalt drill with case and bits, valued at $200, while he was on his lunch break on July 18.

• Following an altercation with an unknown subject on July 21, a female victim reported to Public Safety that she discovered her vehicle had been vandalized the following morning at Deerwood Apartments. Officers took photos of two windows broken out and three flat tires.

• On July 21, officers responded to malicious damage at the golf course and took photos of several spin marks and damaged grass at Hole 3. Video also captured three black males taking the flag from Hole 8.

• Responding officers made contact with the loss prevention officer at Walmart on July 21. The officer had three shoplifters in custody for concealing $110 worth of items from the beauty section.

• On July 22, a victim reported to police that several Western Union transactions had been made without his authorization. The most recent total was $2,819.22, but has been accruing since March. The victim stated the name Maranda Beasly was on each transaction.

• Public Safety responded to an assault call at Dogwood Avenue on July 22. The victim stated the offender came to the residence and struck him in the face several time and left before police’s arrival. While exiting the location, officers observed a white bag containing 1.8 grams of a cocaine substance.

• On July 23, officers responded to a residence on Bratton Street in reference to items being stolen. Police learned that an ATV, shotgun and two magazines of ammo were stolen from the backyard. Additionally, a golf cart was vandalized. The case was turned over to investigations.

• An unknown black female left the scene of an accident in the Walmart parking lot on July 23. Video surveillance and an eyewitness reported the tag number as IPD343.
