WINNSBORO — Women Helping Other Women, a nonprofit that is dedicated to helping others, will hold a meeting for any interested parties at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 26 at The Cove. The goal is to form a steering committee and membership.

The prison mission will help with resources in Fairfield and other counties within the prison system, especially the women, while the military mission will be sending resources to Fairfield folks who will also head up getting cards, packages and gifts to other military personnel in Iraq and overseas.

The Women’s Educational and Social Program will host seminars aimed at women to include financial wellness such as wills, probate, trust and retirement; health and wellness including syndromes and health issues, nutrition, healthy cooking and weight loss; and self esteem issues to include dressing for success, life coaching, boundary controls, social skills and happiness workshops.

WHOW will be collaborating with other organizations and associations to advertise and other media all local events, programs and news in Fairfield County.
