WINNSBORO — The Fairfield Central Lady Griffins returned to action after the holiday break Tuesday night, hosting Columbia in region play.

Despite having several players out for the game, Amelia Miller’s girls dominated throughout in a 48-22 blowout.

From the start, Tanise Davis and Chyna Moore looked to be in control, and with the added leadership from Jameka Henderson, the girls looked world’s apart from the Lady Capitols.

Coach Miller credited her senior leadership for the dominant win.

“Our guards against there’s was big,” she said. “Chyna Moore, Jameka, and Tanise Davis stepped up big for us.”

Even with the large margin of victory, the Lady Griffins game plan was not fully executed.

“We couldn’t do everything we wanted to do, but I was pleased with the effort,” Miller said.

Three Lady Griffins scored in the double digits and, with several girls out, even some JV girls got playing time and were able to contribute.
