Pumpkin Fest is held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gazebo Park in Downtown Winnsboro in the 100 Block of South Congress Street. Winners of the Scarecrow Contest will be announced.

• A Halloween dance is held from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the VFW, 74 Veterans Road in Ridgeway. The cost is $5 per person.

Winnsboro Lions Club meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month at China Buffet. Visitors are welcomed.

Fairfield County Emergency Alert Program registers residents to get alerts about emergencies in the area. You must have an email address to register for the alert program. Fairfield Behavioral Health Services invites Fairfield County churches to help them say no to the danger and deadly impact of tobacco by displaying a permanent “Not On These Grounds” tobacco-free sign.
