WINNSBORO — The Mill Village held its first reunion in 2012, reuniting friends and families who had grown up in the area.
After a year of planning, the event drew a tremendous response and over 800 people came together at the Old Armory. On Saturday, the Mill Village Reunion #2 will again be held at the Old Armory and organizers are excited to see a similar response.
Chairwoman Gail Floyd said this week that “people are travelling from Texas, Florida, Georgia and Virginia to come to our Reunion.”
Some of the prominent Mill Villagers include USC Hall of Famer Ronnie Collins and Olympic shooter Jimmie McCoy.
Floyd said she is looking for anyone who grew up or spent time in the Mill Village between the 1920s and 1970s. The day will feature memories, music, and plenty of fun. Parking will be available at the old Food Lion with a shuttle service for $10.
Tickets will be sold at the door for $20. Seniors 80 years and older will be admitted free. Food and craft vendors also will be featured.
