DNR Flood Mitigation assists property owners, local governments

Due to the recent historic flooding the S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Flood Mitigation Program has been evaluating and responding to the needs of impacted counties and municipalities.

DNR has requested assistance from the Hazard Mitigation Technical Assistance Program (HMTAP), assistance from other State National Flood Insurance Programs (NFIP) via Emergency Management Assistance Contact (EMAC), assistance from Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for Disaster reservist specially trained in the NFIP, and FEMA flood insurance specialists for insurance claims questions and concerns.

We encourage everyone impacted by this event to register for Disaster Assistance regardless of whether or not you have Flood Insurance.
