RIDGEWAY – The Farm in Ridgeway will host the BBQ, Bluegrass & Blue Jeans Benefit on Friday night, with all proceeds going to help buy equipment for the Emergency Department at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
The event will have it all – barbecue by Doko Smoke of Blythewood, bluegrass courtesy of Susan D. Taylor and the Twang Bombers, and blue jeans worn by those who attend.
The event will be held in the newly-expanded barn event center, located on 128 acres at The Farm at Ridgeway, just north of Blythewood, at 3248 U.S. 21 South in Ridgeway. The gates open at 6 p.m. and close at 9 p.m.
Local auctioneer Heyward Mattox will be entertaining as he rattles off live auction items. Bidding can get competitive, so be sure to bring your checkbook to take advantage of what could be a great deal on auction items.
Some items in the auction include autographed sports memorabilia from Clemson and USC, BMW Performance Center Driving School tickets, a B&B stay, an Edisto beach condo weekend, Jim Harrison framed print, work from local artists, antiques, restaurant gift cards and a 32-inch television set.
Tickets are $30 per person or $50 per couple. Tickets for children ages 6 to 10 are $10. Children under age 6 will be admitted free.
Tickets are available at First Citizen branches in Winnsboro, Ridgeway and Blythewood; Summer Day Gifts; lobby of Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Winnsboro; and Blythewood Arts & Visitor’s Center. Tickets will be for sale at the door the evening of the event.
