WINNSBORO — The Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce is asking for volunteers to help with Rock Around the Clock Festival on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3. Organizers need help with several events during the festival. Here’s a rundown of where help is needed:

Festival Car Show: Four people are needed to work 8 a.m. to noon helping register entrants for the Festival Car Show on Oct. 3. You would need to show up no later than 7:45 a.m. Each person who registers will get a free T-shirt and two people are needed to help people get the right size shirt. Others would work with the same day registrations people and check in for those who have pre-registered.

Children’s amusements: The Chamber will charge $5 per person on Saturday and volunteers are needed to collect the money and provide wristbands to the children. Times will be broken into one to two hour shifts. A tent will be available.

Chamber booth: The Chamber will have a booth in the vendor area close to the Town Clock. Times will be broken into one to two hour shifts.

Contact Susan Yenner, administrative assistant for the Chamber, at 803-635-4242 to volunteer.
