June 21

10 a.m.: St. Matthews #2 Baptist Church, 397 Cole Trestle Road in Blair, celebrates Fathers and Men’s Day. The theme is “Fathers Matter.” Rudolph Walker, director of the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition of Winnsboro, is the guest speaker.

Vacation Bible School

First Baptist Church, Longtown Presbyterian Church and Aimwell Presbyterian Church of Ridgeway host Family Faith Week from June 7 through June 12. Programs include To The Edge: Encountering the God of the Universe, a Vacation Bible School program, for ages 5 to fifth grade. An adult class also will be held. The program starts at 6 p.m. and runs until 8:30 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. Dinner will be served to all participants at 5:30 p.m. Friday will be a closing VBS service and family cookout beginning at 5:30 p.m. First Baptist Church of Ridgeway is at 200 N. Lake Wateree Baptist Church holds Vacation Bible School from 6:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. June 7 through June 12 for preschoolers through adults. Cookies and juice will be served on Sunday night and a meal will be served the rest of the week.

St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 207 N. Garden St. in Winnsboro, holds Vacation Bible School from June 9 through June 12. Monday’s class starts at 6 p.m. Class begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Transportation is available. Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church on Fifth Street and Columbia Road in Winnsboro presents “Galactic Blast” Vacation Bible School from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. June 15 through June 18 for children ages 3 to 11. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. June 15.

Winnsboro First Baptist Church hold its “Journey of the Map” Vacation Bible School from 5:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. from June 14 through June 18 for ages 3 to adults. Supper will be served each evening. VBS will be at 1373 Newberry Road.

White Oak Baptist Church No. 1, 520 White Oak Church Road, holds Vacation Bible School from June 15 to June 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The theme is What’s Love Got to Do with It.

Lebanon Presbyterian Church (USA), 667 U.S. 21 South in Ridgeway, holds its Vacation Bible School from 6:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. June 15 through June 19. The theme is Message Received – Hearing God’s Call. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

Shiloh First Presbyterian Church holds Vacation Bible School from June 25-June 27. It begins at 6:30 p.m. June 25 and June 26, and at 9:30 a.m. June 27.

Ongoing Events

• Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church holds a Midday Bible Study from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Tuesday. The public is invited to attend.

• St. Peter Community Church is providing a free tutoring service at 4783 Clark Bridge Road in Blair from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. each Tuesday. Pastor Jonathan Bell Sr. is the tutor. Call 803-345-0260 for more information.

• AWANA meets from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sundays for children ages three through ninth grade. A 6 p.m. worship service is held for parents of AWANA kids. Wednesday prayer meeting is from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. and choir rehearsal follows at 7 p.m. Stephen Greene has mission groups for children, youth, women and men and also has a puppetry ministry. • Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 2092 Longtown Road in Ridgeway, holds Sunday School at 9 a.m. and Sunday worship at 10 a.m. each Sunday. The church’s mid day Bible study is 10 a.m. every Tuesday. Each Wednesday, Bible study will be from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m.

• Stephen Greene Baptist Church, 500 7th St. in Winnsboro, holds Sunday school at 10 a.m. with Bible study classes for all ages. Worship services follow at 11 a.m.
