Dec. 14

11 a.m.: St. Peter Community Church, 4783 Clark Bridge Road in Blair, holds a Community Dinner. The dinner is free. The community is invited.

6 p.m.: Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2508 Campwelfare Road, hosts a Christmas concert. This program is free. The public is invited to attend.

9 a.m.-1 p.m.: Golden Rock Missionary Department sponsors a give a way. Contact Missionary Iola Nelson for more information.

Dec. 15

6 p.m.: Stephen Greene Baptist Church presents the new Christmas Musical, Bethlehem Morning. The 20-plus voice choir will be accompanied by a full color DVD projection on a large screen.

Dec. 16 - Dec. 18

6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.: First Baptist Church presents its Outdoor Live Nativity.

Jan. 5

9 a.m.: Golden Rock Fellowship Church 46 Shrine Circle in Winnsboro holds a Family and Friends Day. Brunch will be served.


St. John A.M.E. Church, 2740 Old Camden Road, holds a winter revival at 7 p.m. Dec. 20 themed “Turning up the Heat” with guest revivalists the Rev. Jonathan Bell Sr. of St. Peter Community Church and the Rev. Glenn Thomas of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Ongoing events

The Children’s Ministry of Lake Wateree Baptist Church, 5856 River Road in Ridgeway, features Kids Night Out from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. the second Friday of each month. Children ages 5 to 11 are invited. A light supper is served at 7 p.m. Games, Bible stories, crafts and other fun things are featured. St. Peter Community Church is providing a free tutoring service at 4783 Clark Bridge Road in Blair from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. each Tuesday. The tutor will be Pastor Jonathan Bell Sr. Call 803-345-0260 for more information.

AWANA meets from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sundays for children ages three through ninth grade. A 6 p.m. worship service is held for parents of AWANA kids. Wednesday prayer meeting is from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. and choir rehearsal follows at 7 p.m. Stephen Greene has mission groups for children, youth, women and men and also has a puppetry ministry. Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 2092 Longtown Road in Ridgeway, holds Sunday School at 9 a.m. and Sunday worship at 10 a.m. each Sunday. The church has mid day Bible study at 11:30 a.m. each Wednesday and Bible study at 7 p.m. each Wednesday. New membership classes are also offered weekly.

Stephen Greene Baptist Church, 500 7th St. in Winnsboro, holds Sunday school at 10 a.m. with Bible study classes for all ages. Worship services follow at 11 a.m.
